The Snowy Valleys Cycle Challenge is more than just a cycling event – it's a weekend-long celebration of cycling, creativity, community and everything that makes the Snowy Valleys such a special place to visit.
Whether you're riding one of our challenge routes, supporting a participant, visiting from out of town, or simply looking for a great weekend activity, there's plenty happening across Tumut and Adelong to enjoy.

Adelong Festival Markets
The heart of the festival will be the Adelong Showgrounds, where visitors can browse a range of market stalls featuring local products, handmade goods, food, arts, crafts and more.
Market Hours
- Saturday: 11:00am – 5:00pm
- Sunday: 9:00am – 4:00pm
The markets provide the perfect opportunity to relax, meet local producers and makers, grab a bite to eat, and soak up the festival atmosphere between rides and activities.

Snowy Valleys Cycle Challenge Art Competition
Creativity takes centre stage with the inaugural Snowy Valleys Cycle Challenge Art Competition.
Artists of all ages and experience levels are invited to create works inspired by cycling, the Snowy Valleys landscape, community spirit, adventure, and the beauty of our region.
All submitted artworks will be displayed throughout the festival weekend in the Pavilion at the Adelong Showgrounds, creating a vibrant exhibition for visitors to enjoy.
Whether you're a professional artist, enthusiastic amateur, student, or simply love being creative, we'd love to see your interpretation of the Snowy Valleys Cycle Challenge.

Short Film Competition
Do you have a cycling story to tell?
The Snowy Valleys Cycle Challenge Short Film Competition invites filmmakers, content creators, students, cyclists and community members to capture the spirit of the event and the region through film.
Entries may showcase cycling adventures, local landscapes, community stories, personal journeys, or creative interpretations of what the Snowy Valleys means to you.
Selected entries will be showcased during the festival weekend, providing an opportunity for local storytellers and filmmakers to share their work with a wider audience.

Cycle Movie Night
Join us for a special evening celebrating cycling stories on the big screen at the historic Montreal Theatre in Tumut.
The Cycle Movie Night will feature:
- Two inspiring cycling short films
- A showcase of selected Snowy Valleys Cycle Challenge Short Film Competition entries
- A special guest speaker (announcement coming soon)
Whether you're an avid cyclist, film lover, or simply looking for a great night out, this is a fantastic opportunity to connect with fellow riders, visitors and community members.
